Faena Collaboratory
We foster artists as contributors in order to create a strong and diverse cultural ecosystem. Simultaneously, we promote cross-cultural understanding and cultural specificity to create social cohesion, connectivity and ever-evolving interdisciplinary art forms.
Together we act as a catalyst, as an interface between dreams and reality to make these ideas real.
Alan Faena
Faena Group is rooted in ideas and concepts that have the power to reshape and enhance our world. The projects it develops are platforms for personal expression and cultural interaction, destination landmarks that inspire original thinking.
"You start with an idea. You end up with a culture."
Activism and Urban Alchemy
The concept of urban alchemy goes beyond the renewal of the cityscape; protecting the natural world and finding a balance between urban, social, political and environmental realms is a core part of our mission —and a legacy for future generations.
Juan Gatti
Throughout the countercultural movement in Madrid, Gatti worked in graphic design and collaborated with the greatest minds in fashion and culture before decamping to Milan, where he worked as the art director of Italian Vogue from 1989 to 1990. He has designed the graphic art for most of Pedro Almodoìvar’s films. Gatti was bestowed with Spain’s National Design Award in 2004 and the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts in 2009.

Philippe Starck
Inventor, creator, architect, designer, artistic director, Philippe Starck is all of the above, but above all he is a man of honesty, in the purest tradition of the Renaissance artists. Despite more than 10 000 creations - completed or in the making - his global fame and his tireless protean inventiveness, he never forgets the essential. Philippe Starck has a mission and a vision: creation, whatever shape it takes, must make life better for the largest number of people possible.
